Making parent community the top priority for PTA/PTOs, and a critical focus for Admins, leads to better outcomes for kids
Strong parent communities lead to better outcomes for children. For children to learn, teachers to feel effective and supported, and PTOs/PTAs to thrive, parents need to have strong connections with each other.
In his recent advisory on the urgent parent mental health crisis, the U.S. Surgeon General specifically highlights the role of schools, asking them to play a leading role in building parent communities:
